On a fateful day, there was a dog found by the side of a road, clearly in distress and unable to move due to a large growth from his belly. It was a heart-wrenching sight, and the thought of ignoring his plight wasn’t even a consideration.

Enter “Helen Summerfield-Brown,” a compassionate collective of volunteers who dedicate themselves to the rescue of stray and forgotten animals. They came across this unfortunate pup and didn’t hesitate to get him immediate medical attention.
The situation was dire; the poor dog had lost his appetite, a sign that the growth was threatening his life.

Upon his arrival at the vet, he was met with swift action. Blood tests, X-rays, and an ultrasound were done in haste. Sadly, the news wasn’t good. He was battling multiple health issues – hookworms, anemia, and the effects of not having enough food.
What’s more, his surgery had to be put on hold because his blood platelets were dangerously low. Surgery with such a low count could have been fatal.

The race against time began, with every test conducted guiding the vets towards the safest time to operate.
Midnight, as he was lovingly named, won over everyone’s heart at the hospital.

His surgery was a triumph, with the removal of a hefty testicular tumor, tipping the scales at an astonishing 4.85 pounds.
“The weight he carried was immense, especially for his small frame,” the vet shared with a mix of relief and pride. “Seeing Midnight taking those first few steps post-operation was a moment of pure joy for us.”

The dedication to Midnight’s recovery was unwavering, with a promise to do whatever it took to nurse him back to health.

Improvements in his health have been remarkable, and soon, Midnight will be looking for a loving home to call his own.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to all those who have supported Midnight’s journey. Your generosity has been the beacon of hope for this brave soul. Thank you, truly!
